To deploy the Power Approvals solution within the Microsoft Power Platform, you will need to create a dedicated Service Account. This Service Account is used to execute automation and integration tasks associated with the Power Approvals processes.
- Typically, the account is named svc_powerapprovals@yourcompanydomain.com; however, you’ll want to use your company’s IT naming convention.
- The account must be provisioned with an appropriate Microsoft Office 365 license (E1, E3 or E5), ensuring it has access to essential services including Outlook and OneDrive for Business, both necessary for proper functioning of the Power Approvals solution.
- Additionally, when managing Power Approvals for multiple entities or subsidiaries, email aliases must be created for each specific company. Aliases enable the use of a single mailbox to distinguish and manage approvals separately. For instance:
For a company named “Balanced Business,” you might create an alias such as svc_powerapprovals+bb@yourcompanydomain.com.
For a company named “Complete Solutions,” an alias such as svc_powerapprovals+cs@yourcompanydomain.com would be appropriate.
Please ensure these aliases align with your organizational policies and naming standards.
After you create the service account, please associate the Mekorma partner ID with your service account.
