Sharing the SQL Connector

The SQL connector can be used simultaneously by multiple apps or solutions. For example, if the connector already exists for Invoice Capture, it can be shared so that Power Approvals can also use it (and vice versa).

1. Open your browser and go to Power Apps studio.

2. Log in with the Power Approvals service account. It might look something like this: svc_powerapprovals@mycompany.com.

3. Select the correct environment (as shown below).
   

4. Click on Connections.

5. Open the SQL Server connector menu by clicking (…) and select Share.
   

6. Enter the email address of all people that will be approving via Power Approvals. In the screen shot below, we are sharing the SQL connection with Sally Parker.
   

7. For the desired email address, set the permission to Can use.

8. Click Save to finalize sharing the connector.
