Creating an Action Board Schedule Template

An Action Board Schedule Template defines the desired Action Board task and the parameters required to run it. Each Action Board Schedule Template represents one single Action Board action.

For example, if you plan to automate the entire process, create a template for each Action Board action. When you schedule your Action Board processing, add each template to create an entirely automated processing scenario.

*An Action Board Schedule Template does not run on a schedule by itself. It defines what Action Board task should run. The schedule is assigned later when you create a Job Queue Entry.

1. Go to Mekorma Action Board Schedule Templates.

2. Click New (or select an existing one to edit).

3. Enter an Action Board Schedule Template name that reflects the action being performed. If you want to automate the entire Action Board process, create an Action Board Schedule Template for each action.

4. Select the action. Depending on the action selected, the configuration fields change:
   • Build Payment Batches: Select the process template.
   • Submit Batches for Approval, Process Payments, Export EFT, or Post Batches: Enter the company name and batch number pattern.
   • Generate EFT: Enter company name, bank account, and settlement date formula.
   • Positive Pay: Enter company name, bank account, cutoff upload formula, and bank payment type.

Batch Number Pattern relies on Business Central formulas to determine what you want to capture. If you want all batches captured by an action, enter * in the field.

5. Enter the necessary information for each field. This information is required in order for the Action Board schedule to run effectively.

6. Once you have created the templates you want to schedule, go to Job Queue Entries to schedule your Action Board processing.

Use Action Board Schedule Templates in Action Board

Action Board Schedule Templates can also be used directly in Action Board without scheduling.

To use a template, in the Action Board menu, click Actions > Select Schedule Template.

When a template is selected:

• The batches defined in the template are automatically pre-selected.
• For Generate EFT or Positive Pay actions, the configured settlement date or cutoff date is automatically applied based on the template settings.
