In normal Business Central processing, generated files are typically downloaded automatically through the browser. In Action Board, multiple files may be generated at once, and browser-based downloads are not available for scheduled processes. Action Board uses file storage to manage these files, including EFT and Positive Pay files.
Mekorma supports two file storage options: internal storage and external storage using Microsoft Azure.
For multi-company users: File destination selections are shared—setting the destination in one company applies to all your companies.
File storage options
Internal file storage
Uses Business Central’s internal file storage.
- Files are saved and maintained locally
- Accessible from the Action Board file storage explorer
- No additional setup required
External file storage
Uses Microsoft Azure Storage to manage files externally. This is a standard Business Central integration and must be configured per Business Central company.
- Setup requires an administrator and your Microsoft partner
- Files are stored in Azure and accessible across the company
- Files are not automatically deleted and must be manually maintained
- If Azure is not configured, files default to internal storage

Set the file destination
- Go to Mekorma Configuration.
- Select the file destination for each of the following actions:
- Export EFT
- Generate EFT
- Positive Pay
Maintaining your internal file storage
Internal file storage has limited capacity. Regularly remove unused files to ensure storage remains available. To delete files:
- Go to Action Board.
- Select Export EFT Files, Generate EFT Files, or Positive Pay.
- Click Download Export Files.
- In the storage explorer window, select and delete files that are no longer needed.
